At least seven young children died and 20 others were wounded on Wednesday after an attack at a kindergarten in northern China's Shaanxi province, the state media said.The dead children were 'hacked to death' in the early morning attack at the kindergarten in Nanzheng county near Shaanxi's Hanzhong city, Liu Xiaoming, a local publicity official, told the government's Xinhua news agency.
At least 20 other people were injured in the attack, the agency said without giving details.
'The injured have been rushed to hospital,' it quoted Mr. Liu as saying.
The attack is the latest of several similar incidents at Chinese primary schools and kindergartens, including three on consecutive days in late April.
